Conductor Color Coding Change
for Harmonized Flexible Cable

To Whom It May Concern:
 CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) recently announced a change to the conductor color coding requirements for harmonized flexible cable. This change affects three, four and five
conductor cable. For example, in the past, five conductor cable incorporated two black conductors. Now, one of the conductors will be gray. The new color coding for harmonized cable is illustrated at right.
This change will only affect Interpower Corporation’s five conductor harmonized cable. We will be transitioning inventory as the new cable becomes available.
