Interpower Corporation, then
Panel Components Corporation
was founded in Berkeley, California
by Bob Wersen.
The first major product was
a unique combination fuse holder. This fuseholder accommodates both international and North American fuses by changing the carrier. |

2 July 1979
The Company moves from Berkeley to Santa Rosa, California. |

The Company
moves into a new building which offered more space. |

The U.S. electronics industry experiences a severe recession. |

5 1986
The Company changes its strategy to focus more
on the small to mid-size companies
and dramatically broaden its
customer base. |

6 1988
The beginning of a database
of customers from trade shows
and advertising. This database would be used for promotion of specific products and for distributing the Export Designer's Reference and Catalog. |
7 1989–1990
The development of a broader product line was the focus of growth efforts.
To complement a broader product line, a major investment was made to increase advertising. |

1991-1992
Bob made the decision to relocate the Company and began a search.
The decision to move to Oskaloosa, Iowa was made in the spring of 1992. |

8 1993
Phil Watts starts operations for Interpower Components Ltd., the European subsidiary in Bognor Regis, United Kingdom. |

May 1993
Trucks unload products in the Oskaloosa warehouse. |
9 June 1996
Interpower North American power cords were produced in Oskaloosa
for the first time. |

July 30, 1993
The telephones rang in Oskaloosa for the first time.
The 1800 mile move from California to Iowa was now complete. |

10 February 1998
Customer Service office in Ames, Iowa opens to assist in handling calls. |

1999
Interpower Components Ltd. moves to Milton Keynes,
United Kingdom. |

A new manufacturing facility in Lamoni, Iowa opens to increase volume of molded cordsets. |
|

12 April 2001
An electronics industry recession begins. It reaches the low point as a result of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. |

13 March 2002
The new facility in Ames, Iowa is completed. The new building will house Customer Service, Marketing, Product Development and Manufacturing. |

|
14 March 2004
Interpower Corporation becomes the official company name, replacing Panel Components Corporation. |
|
